Managed Solutions website gets a Joomla makeover

After 5 years of maintaining a static HTML/CSS website, the Managed Solutions website was converted to Joomla. One of the main reasons behind this was to add extra functionality, or more specifically, to send out a company e-newsletter.
Managed Solutions (Mansol) usually send out a company newsletter at the end of each month with their customer’s bill. In short, this time of the month is hectic without the added stress of organizing and printing a newsletter. So we decided to start sending out the newsletter online via the website, with the help of Joomla. This now allows a more streamlined billing process and not to mention how much paper is now being saved!
Also, to save the Mansol staff from having to manually add or update all of their contacts into the newsletter mailing list, the component code was modified to tie in with the current CRM database. So if a customer is added or removed from the CRM, the Joomla mailing list is updated. Additionally, if a new customer signs up to the mailing list on the website, or unsubscribes, the CRM is automatically updated as well.
As well as the Joomla conversion, the Mansol website underwent some minor design improvements. The new and improved Mansol website can be viewed here.
